Key Verses Genesis 39:20-21 / Isaiah 58:11
Genesis 39 / Isaiah 58
1. Shun evil and do good
Though the adulteress took notice of Joseph day after day, he feared God and would never do such a wicked thing. Great blessings will come if you shun evil, do good and honor your God as holy.
2. Seek the Lord but do evil
Do not fast or seek for God from rituals. Be sure to remove quarreling and wickedness from one’s heart. Light will break forth if you get rid of your wickedness and do good. God will not bless those who seek Him but do evil.
Psalm 39 / Revelation 12:9 Self-purification / Hurl down
I have watched my ways and kept my tongue from sins, and I have not turned to falsehoods. O Lord, save me from all my transgressions. I will wait for the Lord silently and wholeheartedly. When the enemy is hurled down, I may regain my strength.
